Architectural Lighting

Escent Lighting Design is the architectural lighting design division of MW Consulting Engineers in Spokane, Washington. Since its founding in 1998, Escent has specialized in challenging projects that demand a variety of high-performance interior and/or exterior lighting solutions. We work directly with our clients and partners to ensure lighting requirements are met while maximizing visual quality and aesthetic appeal. Our experience, technical resources, and dedication to service are what set us apart from the competition.

Our goal is to showcase the aesthetic elements of a building to their fullest, with an eye toward enhancing specific moods, highlighting beautiful objects or features, and making unique decorative statements. Our lighting designs complement a building’s more pragmatic functions, promote user comfort, reinforce security, and maximize the efficient expenditure of energy.

Escent lighting designers work in tandem with MW’s team of electrical engineers providing lighting design as part of the firm’s package of basic services or in a “stand-alone” capacity for use by other agencies. Our full-service approach includes:

 – Detailed computer simulation and photo-realistic 3-D rendering of architectural spaces

 – Custom design light fixtures for situations where a distinctive look or capability is required

 – Photometric studies
