MW is excited to formally recognize Josh Newton’s achievement upon earning his AVIXA CTS-D (Certified Technology Specialist in Design) Certification. This professional design certification sets Josh apart as a specialist in the field of audiovisual design, placing him within a very small group of talented individuals who have earned this certification.
Why is the CTS-D Certification important to MW?
This designation is limited to only those professionals willing to make the effort to gain the knowledge and experience needed to complete the certification process. The CTS-D signals to our clients that as an experienced AV designer, Josh listens carefully to assess his clients’ needs and works collaboratively with them to understand the pros and cons of the technological options available. Based on their requests, Josh develops creative, efficient designs that respond to his clients’ priorities and exceed their expectations, all while abiding by specific ethical guidelines. Certification demonstrates a commitment to professional growth in the audiovisual industry and is strongly supported by MW.
What is so great about Josh?
Since arriving at MW in 2007, upon graduation from Spokane Community College, Josh has demonstrated a learn-it-all approach to professional growth. Early in his career with MW, Josh developed a broad range of telecommunications design expertise, including the design of traditional voice and data networks, passive optical networks (PON), CATV distribution, audio/visual, fire alarm, low voltage lighting control, and security systems for numerous types of projects. This learn-it-all approach is evidenced by his attainment of the RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) designation in 2014 and now with the CTS-D Certification in 2020. Since joining MW 13 years ago, Josh has developed experience designing systems for K-12 education, higher education, healthcare, office, commercial, government, and institutional facilities in both the public and private sectors.
Once again, congratulations to Josh as he continues to set the standard for audiovisual design excellence at MW.
